I'm just referencing the movie or, more specifically, the cameo by Johnny Depp in it. I spend a bit of time during the day, when I need a break, watching music videos on Youtube (yes, my life IS that exciting). Today I came across a video of part of Depp's scene in Happily Ever After, while plowing through Radiohead vids. I'm a softy for scenes like this and it reminded me of the Virgin Records store in Cambridge when I lived there. Though I never bumped into a girl there like in the video, it was still a nice place to hang out and actually look at music - something that has dissolved from our lives with technology.
This week is nutty. It's like all my things exploded out of bags and boxes when I moved here in January and now I have to find ways to reorganize it all to shove in the car for the move Friday. I'm procrastinating with various work, videos, writing this blog post, stuff like that. I'll barely have time to unpack and enjoy my new place because I leave for CA on Tues. It's a quick trip and I'll be back Thurs night. Hopefully, I'll get in a run or ride while I'm there.
Got out early (too early for me) this morning to meet one of my clients for a run. I overdressed, assuming that down at 6,000 feet was the same freezing ass temperature I have up at my place. So, I was drenched in sweat with my jacket and gloves on by the time we finished. The ankle is stubborn as hell and still hurts at varying degrees. But I can be pretty stubborn too, so we'll see who wins. It seems fine on flatter, non technical runs, so I'll stick with those and a lot of riding when I move. Today's run was 70 mins on fairly technical trail with 1,700 ft gain.
