So far we've learned the inside story on:
Running your first marathon in 7 days training
Being an Ultra Pacer
Writing an amazing race report
Running the Leadville 100
Travelling to an ultrarunning race
Now, unfolding as we speak (write, read. whatever.) is the long awaited and coveted wordsmithing masterpiece... How to become an Ultrarunner (or Ultra Runner, Ultra-Runner - hyphens ((slashes and dashes)) are the sweetest punctuations around - they make spell check shut the fck up, they make words longer, combine meanings, bring words together in a way that only a hippie could appreciate. They are rock-solid).
Anyway, this How to Become an Ultrarunner piece has been growing in my brain like a that crazy bug that Khan put in Checov's ear in the "Wrath of Khan" Star Trek movie. No, I'm not some loser who knows (or watches) this ridiculous, self-indulgent (hyphen), live with your mom, shit. I looked it up where all the acutely accurate answers are... Yahoo Answers. How'd you like to be the guy who answered the question? "Yay! I got it! I got it!" L-O-S-E-R.
Regardless, this new How to... story/guide/brochure/whateverthehell (no hyphen = misspelled) is pretty much written - just trust me on this one. I'm a bit busy this week but will bang it out on my laptop next week at some point.
Go back to your lives.
Really looking forward to this one!
