The Week: Riding, TV, Bad Parking

First week without training wheels went well.  My loose goal (aside from not riding into a tree face first) was for 10 hrs of decent quality riding, which I reached.  I mixed in good variety of riding, including solid steady efforts around flatter courses like Boulder Reservoir and the Dirty Bismark Loop, good climbing with Lucho up around Coal Creek Canyon, and a reintroduction to single track at Centennial Cone and Walker Ranch.

Things are progressing slowly.  The flood of lactic acid rushing through my legs the second I click in to the pedals has faded and I'm able to hold a decent effort for longer periods.  My sketchiness on single track is comedic and appalling.  So, the work this week will be on regaining some technical skills.

Oh, and I'm registered for the Leadman Series now.  Thanks for your support, Vi

Other weekly happenings, which include bad parking jobs, views from the trail, retro television, and Pippit.
I rarely ever watch TV, so when I do, it's pure quality.

It's like running fast without having to do the work.

Already unstable on the trails?  Take a hand off the bars so you can snap retarded photos.

Boulder's flatirons, as seen from the Dirty Bismark loop.

Nothing says class (and testosterone) like light blue fuzzy dice in your bitchin' Camaro.

When a lot is this crowded, it's difficult to land within the lines.

  1. Looks like no turning back now. Nothing like a $50 extra fee to make you feel good. At least when I signed up for both Silver Rush's they only charged another $50. Love the mtb pictures from your last week. Looks like some very sweet riding.

  2. Dang, man. Congrats on the Vi gel support. Looks like another year of action packed racing for you. I tried several times to communicate with Vi and never heard back. One of their guys, Eric Lee, gave me a little care pack of gels at a race I put on and they were probably the best gels I've ever had. Peach cobbler is money. That stuff is delicious and I like the little bit of caffeine/taurine and the MCT oil. Where can you buy that stuff?
