Another Week Fades Away

Getting the Knickerbocker Canyon Half Marathon gathered yesterday.
I skipped the planned group run on Mt. Diablo today.  Last week's treatment on my sciatic nerve/glute/hammy tightness and dumbly following it up later that day with a hard 90 min run left me a little wrecked.  I'll likely get out a bit later today for a more leisurely 10-15 miles and try to find some rare flatter grounds on which to do it, leaving me with around 55-60 mostly hilly miles on the week.

Some funky storms rolled through Thursday night - loud booms of thunder and some of the heaviest rain I've seen.  I didn't fret the sleeplessness and, instead, sat and listened to the weather most of the night, something I haven't done in a long time and used to enjoy so much.  There's something meditative and soothing when you connect with weather and it's usually something like an abnormally strong storm to make you realize what you miss on a daily basis.  Like many people, I miss a lot.
