We have been advised (through a pdf letter from Sarah Spelt's lawyer) that PCTR will be putting on the Rodeo Beach event on December 31st. As of today, Tim Stahler and I have no connection with that company and have been advised to return anything that we were going to use for the Rodeo Beach event (tents, clock, etc) for PCTR. We were initially asked, in writing, to do the Rodeo Beach event, but as we are now being threatened by her attorney we will not have anything to do with that event. We do hope everyone running in this event has a great day on the trails... there's no better way to celebrate the coming New Year!
The depth of the whole thing leaves me speechless.
We are committed to putting on fun events and have legally gone through the permitting steps to ensure it for 2012.
Sorry to hear there is so much going on behind the scenes, seems we are all left holding the bag now. Look forward to following you and footfeathers! jlsuggs
ReplyDeleteUnless you want to volunteer, sympathize with her "medical condition", or send her money (pay pal only please), she doesn't want to hear from you. She's leaving quite a wake.
ReplyDeleteYou got out just in time. Good luck with the new company.
ReplyDeleteWhen are we going to hear what happened with PCTR? I think a lot of people are wondering what the hell happened to a group/person that used to put on great events.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure everything will be exposed eventually. You can't hold back the ocean with a dixie cup for long.
ReplyDeleteIn the mean time, we're taking the high road with that "company" and focusing on our events and participants. I'm certain there will be some attempt at making Tim S and me out to look like bad guys when all we were doing was holding the dixie cups for someone we trusted.
PCTR is starting to make sense to me now. I've tried 3 races with them in the past year or so and they were the most unorganized races I have ever been in. Late starts, mis-marked trails, etc... Very sad state...

ReplyDeleteThey organize events as Coastal Trail Runs now (since early 2010).

ReplyDeleteI am sorry that no one warned you before you moved out here and took this job. Good luck to you and we will see you out on the trails!
