Like many of us longer distance runners, George often ponders the landscape and what it would be like to run to the landmarks that capture our minds.
From GZ's front door he can see Bear Peak and S. Boulder Peak, so he decided to run up them... from his house and back, 35 miles round trip. I met up with him at Marshall Mesa trailhead and Jeff joined us a bit after that (as well as a handful of others we bumped into) on his journey and captured some of it on film...
The GZ Adventure Trailer:
The GZ Adventure Film:
And most of the raw footage with audio...
That trailer is great! I hope that second film isn't the feature film advertised though since I was expecting much more drama and perhaps some explosions with all that dramatic music ;)
ReplyDeleteHope your feeling good for antelope island. Based on what happened at C2M, I think I will pick Karl for the win now...
Great stuff! Are you bringing an entire film crew to the Grand Canyon?
ReplyDeleteI'm 100%. Bring it on!
ReplyDeleteThat guy had quite a wig.
ReplyDeleteGreat vids, and it was a great time yesterday. Thanks man.
Hey - I meant to ask you yesterday - what is the background shot to this blog? That terrain looks absolutely destructive to the ankles. I am sure I would be falling every three feet there.
Brownie
ReplyDeleteI May not be doing the canyon...
GZ
ReplyDeleteI had a great time. Super running on your part.
That background photo on my blog is on antelope island, where I'll be racing this week. Thats Scott dickey, Brian beckstead and I running about 10 miles into the antelope 100k in November.
Good grief man. It would take me days to pick through that.
ReplyDeleteGreat filming - Hollywood best watch out. I'm sure Lucas and Scorcese are looking for somehwere to retire... Looks like a great time - hoping for great weather this weekend for Antelope so you can thrash that course!
ReplyDeletePut this stuff on iTunes and I'll buy it. Really glad you took some footage to capture the day.
ReplyDeleteAgain, glad to meet you and do some classic Boulder trail miles.
P.S. - You're right, the raw video quality on the iPhone 4 is pretty sweet.
Hey jeff.
ReplyDeleteReal pleasure meeting you and sharing some of george's run. The video is actually even higher resolution; it would just be too dang big to publish (I'm impatient). As it is, the video is like 175 Meg.
We'll have to hook up up for some runs soon.
