| Raw sweet potato with crushed pepper and TINY bit of salt. |
Reminds me of Lou Costello eating raw onions after being told they were "Arabian apples".
I have backup...

| Baseball is for rolling feet on and putting under sore hamstrings while I sit. Co-workers come up grab, play with and handle the baseball. I just smile. |

I have never thought about using a baseball for sore hammy's...gonna have to give that a try...
ReplyDelete"Baseball is for rolling feet on and putting under sore hamstrings while I sit. Co-workers come up grab, play with and handle the ________. I just smile." Sounds like an interesting work environment.
ReplyDeleteRaw sweet taters?
Lucho is a wizard.
Yeah, we just sit around naked and fondle one another.
ReplyDeleteI keep a tennis ball in the car at all times for the hips/hammies. Let me know how that yam deal works out.
ReplyDeleteHey steve. They were fine. I thought they were going to hurt my stomach but no probs.
ReplyDeleteDid not think anyone else had such things in their work desk! Always count on a fellow ultra runner! I have a few different sizes of balls: tennis, softball, golfball, etc you get the drill. No pun intended. Added thera-bands for leg strengthening in my desk recently (just hook around a stable object).
ReplyDeleteGood stuff.
Hmmm, thera-bands. I could set up a little gym in my cubicle.
ReplyDeleteDid they spike your blood sugar or anything? And they are raw? I thought potatoes had to be cooked?
ReplyDeleteI use a golf ball only in extreme conditions when my IT band is ugly - tears flow with that thing....
Happy Trails- The glycemic load of a lot of foods changes when you cook it. For a sweet potato it is:
ReplyDeleteSweet potato, boiled - 77–78 (considered high)
Sweet potatoes, raw - 44–48 (considered low)
And for reference, salmon is 48.
So a blood sugar spike will happen more likely if you cook them.
Lucho - thanks for the info. You ever thought of writing a book...?
ReplyDeleteHT- I wouldn't even know where to begin. I'm a fairly terrible writer really.
ReplyDeleteLucho - I'm sure there are "authors" who are terrible writers but still have a good story to tell...that's what editors are for.
ReplyDeleteYou and FF have good info to share. Seems two people would by the book :-)
Darren
