5 Hours: Contest

My only goal for the Cool race this weekend is sub 5 hours and have fun.  No need to complicate it.

So, the contest is this:
The state in which I ran my first 50k AND what big change that race is experiencing this year.

Get it right and I'll send you a pair of McDavid arm sleeves (value $36)... may even let you choose the color.

And now for your listening pleasure.  TOOL.  "Forty Six & 2".  How aware are you of your shadow?

2010 was the last year for the race, so the big change is that it's not happening anymore...

  2. Dammit Rick! At first I thought it might be the Crowders Mountain 50k and the change is it doesn't not exist anymore. I looked up the Bel Monte 50k (who is adding in a relay option this year), but I don't think thats it either. By the time I got around to the Rattlesnake 50k (I think thats it too) Rick had posted. Darn you all to heck!

  3. Looks like Rick is right...Rattlesnake is off the calendar.

See you in a few hours.

  4. This was just a quick guess after a basic google search, but I have no idea if that was Tim's first 50k. Will have to wait and see what he says...

  5. Dang Brett, how'd you even know I ran Crowders Mtn 50k?

Rick is the man! I was very sad to learn Dennis was no longer directing the Rattlesnake. That was a grinding tough introduction into longer distance trail racing. I'm mad at myself for not running it last year.

Rick, email me your address and we'll go over the multitude (3) of colors from which to choose.

Next contest will be much tougher!

See you later today, Darren. I'm psyched!

  6. Good luck this weekend! When you get back we'll have to hit up Walnut and you can tell me about it.

  7. Tim, sometime long ago you mentioned it (Crowders Mtn) somewhere. I lived in Charlotte until college and then a few years after college and live in SC now, so it stood out when you said it.

  8. Loved that Crowders Mtn 50k, six times up and over that mountain! I ran it in Apr '08.
