[/caption]8 miles in heatherwood (ironically named since there's not one tree) in the heat of the afternoon today. Same run I did yesterday. Felt very good today. Heatherwood is a nice series of singletrack through farm land, mostly wheat, very exposed with incredible views of the foothills. Probably top out at around 40 miles this week (on 6 runs), then a couple runs of 30 mins next week.
Tomorrow's post, the gear and drop bags. God, am I turning into Brandon? Hope I have the same tenacious guts he has.

ReplyDeleteWell, that's a likely outcome. It'll be like the last stages of extreme hypothermia when the victim is so delirious that he feels hot and begins ripping his clothes off. I'll likely be at that point by mile 50. Delirious.
